Jean-Claude Nicolas appointed Corporate Vice President Communications of Nexans
Paris, March 10, 2006 - Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, announces the appointment of Jean-Claude Nicolas as Corporate Vice President Communications within the Human Resources and Communication Department, effective first March 2006. Jean-Claude Nicolas is joining from Airbus.
After graduating from the Rouen University in Law and Economic Sciences in 1974 and from the Political Science Institute of Paris in 1977 (applied post-graduate diploma), he started his professional carrier with the PSA Peugeot Citroen automotive Group where he held a series of different responsibilities within the Communications Department, ending as deputy vice president and press relations.
Jean-Claude Nicolas joined Snecma in 1990 as Vice President Corporate Communications.
In 1995, he joined the French automotive manufacturers’ federation as Vice President Communications.
In 1997, he moved to Pechiney as head of communications. He joined Airbus in 2004 as Senior Vice President Communications.
Jean-Claude Nicolas is married and has two children.
