Influential New South Wales solar farm to be powered with Nexans Olex cable
Nexans Olex has been awarded the supply of cable to Nevertire Solar Farm, located near Warren in north-western New South Wales.
Nevertire Solar Farm (http://nevertiresolarfarm.com.au/) is a 132 MW solar farm currently under construction (commenced quarter-three 2018). The solar farm will generate renewable solar energy which will feed into Australia’s national power grid. Nevertire’s construction consists of standard, flat solar photovoltaic modules which will be installed on ground-mounted single-axis tracking frames.
Nexans Olex is proud to supply to Nevertire. Our compliance to the customer’s standard requirements has placed us at the forefront over the competition. Nexans Olex’s specialized and dedicated project teams have constructed a tight delivery schedule to meet customer requirements with a successful first delivery in quarter-four 2018.
Nexans Olex cable bundle includes a variety of low voltage (LV), low voltage direct current (LVDC), medium voltage (MV), data, and fibre cables to Nevertire. All LV, LVDC, and MV cables feature Nexans Olex’s Eco-Term, a cost-effective termite barrier cable. Nexans Olex’s Eco-Term Tape 101 is hard and smooth, leading to it being impenetrable during termite attack (resulting from joint research with CSIRO).
The Nevertire Solar Farm is due to be commissioned in the first half of 2019.
