Nexans Olex wins supply of cable to Karadoc Solar Farm in Victoria, Australia
Nexans Olex has proudly won the supply of LVDC and LV Nylon termite-barrier cable to Karadoc Solar Farm in Victoria, Australia.
Karadoc Solar Farm, located in north-west Victoria and is is expected to produce a 112MW capacity and power up to 110,000 homes via the Victorian power grid.
In accordance to customer requirements, Nexans Olex will deliver termite-proof LV DC cable for solar arrays and LV PV for stringing . Nylon LV 12 extruded jackets have been indicated as performance and integrity is at the forefront. Nylon 12 cables have been proven to provide application for 60+ years with an extremely reliable termite barrier. These cables are considered premium where product failure and termite penetration are not an option.
The customer also expects a high level of project management from start to finish, on top of expert product recommendations and delivery. Nexans Olex’s teams go over and above by providing specialist engineering support covering Standards, specifications, plus cable and system design support aimed at regulatory compliance and optimised design life performance.
The Nexans Olex technical, estimating, central engineering, and product specialist teams have all played a large role in the success of the project. The highly skilled project team worked with the customer to ensure planned on time-delivery, effective communication, and a strong attention to customer requirements.
The Karadoc Solar Park is expected to open in 2019.
